Newport Harbor High School would like to congratulate our Career & Technical Education Pathway Teacher in Digital Media Arts, Ms. Lisa Cermak, for being honored at the Orange County Music and Arts Educators Awards Ceremony held at the Samueli Theater in Costa Mesa. Lisa’s outstanding work with our students earned her the recognition as this year’s recipient from Newport-Mesa Unified School District, Secondary Education. She, along with other educators in Orange County, received this award for their contributions in the fields of Music and Arts in public education. We are proud of all your efforts and great work, Lisa!

Men (and women too!) are needed to volunteer at our outdoor parking lots & residential entry gates. Volunteer for a 2-hour shift and receive a $20 discount on a home tour ticket. There are 3 different shifts for Thursday, May 17th from 9:30-11:30, 11:30-1:30 & 1:30-3:30pm. Contact Kathy.Hancock7@gmail.com to volunteer and qualify for a $45 discounted ticket instead of $65.

NHHS Competes in CA Restaurant Association Competition

Congratulations!

The Newport Harbor High School’s Culinary and Management teams competed in the 10th Annual California Restaurant Association‘s High School Competition March 25-27. The Culinary team placed 3rd in the State. Although the Management team did not place, their efforts were stellar. Both teams went above and beyond and we are very proud of their performances. The students networked with industry professionals and were given opportunities and offered internships from major restaurants.

They represented Newport Harbor with honor and dignity.

About NHHS

Newport Harbor High School (NHHS), founded in 1930, is proud of its rich tradition as an outstanding school, confirmed by its designations as a California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School, and currently as an International Baccalaureate School. Many NHHS graduates continue to reside in the area and watch as their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren graduate.
